In order to address some concern of my readers. I find a video from you tube while searching. In this video, President & CEO Emilio De Quiros explaining about SSS programs and other important detail such as loan, contribution, etc... And I think it is worth to share here my site.
Here is the latest SSS Contribution Table for 2012. I got a copy when I visited SSS branch in Sta. Cruz, Laguna to pay for my monthly SSS contribution and process my SSS ID. Details for SSS Contribution Monthly deadlines of payment:
There are respective dates for you to pay your monthly contribution to avoid penalty. Let us say your SSS number ends in one or two (1 or 2) your payment deadline is on every 10th day of the month. If ending digit is zero (0) your payment deadline is on every last day of the month. If the payment deadline falls on weekends and holiday, payments can be done one the next working day. Otherwise, Respective penalties will be imposed.
Are we allow to continuously pay SSS contributions even we reach 60 years old?

Some readers of this blog are asking if they can continue their SSS contributions after they failed to pay the contributions long time ago or they already reach 60 years old but wish to pay and complete 120 months of contributions as mandated.
My father have a same concern and wish to continue his SSS contributions which he miss to pay long time ago. But when he go to telemoney, one of telemoney staff told to my father that he is not allowed to pay SSS because he is above 60 years old now.
To find out, clarify this and also to answer those question. I decided to send an e-mail to SSS customer service or their member relations department which i find in SSS website. My e-mail is goes like this (see quote text and print screen photo below).
"Dear Sir/Mam,
Magandang araw po sa inyo. Nais ko lang po magtanong tungkol po sa pagbabayad ng SSS Contributions. Ilan taon po o hangang anong edad po pwede magbayad ng SSS? Sa sitwasyon po ng aking ama.. Sa record po ng SSS, 61 years old na po ang tatay ko.. Ngayon po may maayos syang trabaho at kasalukuyang OFW. Nais pong ipagpatuloy ng aking ama ang paghuhulog sa SSS kaso nun nag punta po sya sa isang bayad center, sinabi po na di na daw sya pwede magbayad kasi more than 60 years old na sya. Totoo po ba ito? hindi na pwede ipagpatuloy ng aking ama ang pagbabayad sa kanyang SSS contributions? kung hindi na po pwede, ano po pwede gawin kung sakaling hindi natapos o nakompleto yun 10 years na paghuhulog? ano po mangyayari dun sa ibinayad? After more or less 3 months of waiting of their response. I was surprise when i open my e-mail one time and got reply. Im very thankful. Although it takes many months before i got response from them. The important thing is to know the answer in my question. Here's the reply from Member Relations Department of SSS as quoted below. (see quote text and print screen photo below).

Hindi po ninyo nabanggit ang pangalan at SS number ng inyong ama bilang basehan sa aming beripikasyon.
Gayunpaman, kung ang inyong ama ay dati ng miyembro at may balidong kontribusyon, maaari pong ituloy ang kanyang hulog/ kontribusyon gamit ang SSS Contribution Form RS-5 bilang voluntary OFW member. Ang hindi pinahihintulutan ay yaong 60 o pataas ang edad na inisyal o mag-uumpisa pa lamang maghuhulog ng kontribusyon. From their replied. Even though some of my question was not answered. It is very clear that an individual who is already a member and has a valid contribution can continue their SSS contributions regardless of age and how long they miss to pay. An individual who is 60 years old and above who want to join and start paying SSS contributions are not allowed.
I hope from this experience of my father, this article can helps now to clear the question in your mind about SSS contributions. For more question and concern about your SSS benefits. Don't hesitate to send an email to SSS member relations department like I did. They are willing to response in your e-mail even though it takes time.
How to pay SSS Contributions using MetroBank Direct online?
Last time, I post how to check online SSS Contributions. Now, I would like to share is How to pay SSS Contributions using MetroBank Direct online. Since Im an OFW, it's hard for me to continuously pay my SSS contributions monthly.
I need to go to some Teleremmit office in order to pay every month or quarterly but it takes time for me to go their office due to my work situation. And most of the time I've failed to pay my contributions. Until I find out that we can pay SSS Contributions using MetroBank Direct online.
Here' how:
1. Log in to your MetroBank Direct account and click pay bills. See print screen SSS Contributions below.

2. After clicking pay bills. Select on special bills which type of SSS contributions you want to pay (Self-Employed, OFW, Voluntary Member etc.). See print screen SSS Contributions below.

3. On the Subscriber / Account No. box. Fill out your SSS number together with the month and year you want to pay. ie. 1234567890102011 --- 1234567890 is your SSS number, 102011 (October 2011)is the month and year you want to pay.

4. For the Reference Number just leave it blank. Fill out your cellphone number. Next, Enter the amount you wish to pay or your monthly SSS contributions. Then Click continue and then confirm. Print your receipt for your copy to keep. See print screen SSS Contributions below.

How to check Social Security System SSS Contributions Online?
I’ve tried and check SSS Contributions online inquiry system to find out how many months my actual premiums SSS Contributions are and it did give me accurate information. It’s very easy to use as long as you have internet connection anywhere and anytime. Only you have to do, register to their SSS website.
It asks some information from you (such as SSS number, Lastname and birth dates) then key in your information to the space provided box and wait for 24 - 48 hours for validation and activation of your SSS online account for successfully registration. After your SSS online account has been activated the user can now log in immediately and will able to access and check the following SSS information:

As an OFW working far away from my home country. It is nice to know that we can now have an access to their SSS system. We can now easily, better to find out and monitor if our SSS Contributions monthly payment has been credited or not to their system.
To know more about Social Security System (SSS) online services and how to register your SSS account online. Here's how:
1. Visit SSS website or just type in to your web browser www.sss.gov.ph/sss/Login_Members. See SSS screen shot.

2. If you're not yet registered click the sign up link then fill up your information to the space provided box. Those space with asterisk (*) sign must required to fill up and never leave blank. See SSS screen shot.

3. After you fill up completely those space provided box. Click submit. You will be receive a validation email link to confirm that you have a valid email address. Click the link you receive, you will be directly to another SSS site and then completely fill up your information. See SSS screen shot.

4. Once you've finish to fill up click the submit button and wait for an email from Social Security System (SSS). Mostly it takes 24 - 48 hours (weekdays) for activation of your SSS online account. Next working days if your registration done during weekends. They will tell you from their email if your SSS account registration is successful or not. You will receive also your SSS username and password if your registration is successful. See SSS screen shot.

How to inquire your SSS via text?

Upon successful registration, you will receive your unique system-generated PIN code which is required to all SMS transactions and services. Keep this PIN it is very important.
Step 2: How to check SSS contribution by texting? And how much will it cost? It only costs Php. 2.50 per text if you’re using Globe and Php. 2.00 for Smart and Sun Cellular subscribers. To check your social security contributions (SSS), SSS loan application status and SSS loan balance, you can do this in 2 options also. See below instructions.
